Matt Erickson is a senior economist at Terrain, specializing in macroeconomics, agricultural policy, and the grain, oilseed, and swine sectors. As part of Terrain’s team of economists, he provides expert analysis to customers of AgCountry Farm Credit Services, American AgCredit, Farm Credit Services of America, and Frontier Farm Credit. Prior to joining Terrain, Matt served as an agricultural economic and policy advisor for AgCountry Farm Credit Services, Farm Credit Services of America, and Frontier Farm Credit. His career also includes roles as chief economist for the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry; economist at the American Farm Bureau Federation; and confidential assistant at the U.S. Department of Agriculture. In addition to his professional work in agricultural markets and policy, Matt remains actively involved in his family’s farm near Lafayette, Indiana. He holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in agricultural economics from Purdue University.
